Magtech AS is a designer and producer of voltage boosters and smart transformers which controls voltage stepless. Our unique technology is used in several areas within power distribution and industry, both onshore and offshore. The technology is simple, robust and enables reduced costs.

Magtech AS was founded in 2001, based on a self developed technology of magnetically controllable inductance. The company is based in Moss (Norway), and has a highly qualified staff of electrical engineers and other specialists that develop, produce and sell the unique products.

Magtech Voltage Boosters (MVB):

Magtechs main product is a voltage stabilising booster. It is installed by electric utilities in the low voltage grid to ensure a constant and stepless voltage to the end user. It is typically used where long distribution lines causes voltage drops according to power use. The MVB is available for different voltage systems. See model overview.

Controllable transformers

Magtech also delivers custom–made controllable transformers to the offshore and process industries. The transformers are tailor made to the customer's needs for dynamic and stepless control of voltage.

In addition to our completed products, we are also working on developing new product solutions. For example a solution for dynamic, stepless compensation of reactive power, and dynamic control of special rectifiers, etcetera.
